Bathurst Agricultural Show 2026

The Bathurst Agricultural Show returns to the historic Bathurst Showgrounds from 26 to 29 March 2026 for its 116th annual staging, continuing a tradition that stretches back to around 1850 and has earned it the tagline “where town and country meet”. The four-day programme keeps farming at its core, with sheep, goats, pigs and a record entry of poultry on display alongside agricultural machinery, tractors, vehicles and hands-on demonstrations. Because of the national foot-and-mouth disease outbreak, the Society confirmed that no live cattle would be exhibited in 2026 and that the popular Elite Fat Stock Auction and Competition would run in an adapted online format, with large screens in the stock area so visitors can follow the bidding live. Other highlights include the multi-discipline Bathurst Horse Show presented by the Bathurst Riding Club, a 4×4 jamboree, a wildlife auction at Woody Cape, panel discussions on key agricultural topics, craft and food stalls, and live music on the Friday and Saturday evenings.
